Dancehall and reggae provided the foundation for Jamaican Born DJ, (Selecta) Cleve J. Carlyle Sr., better known as “Father Link”. Born in Portland Jamaica, December 1974. Cleve (Father Link) migrated to the United States in 1989. His love for music started at the age of 13, influenced by the Sounds of Super Dee, one of Jamaica’s most popular sound systems during his youth.
Cleve turn to music to escape the stressors of everyday life, because of that in 1992, Metro Link Sounds was born. Cleve plays all genres of music however he specializes in reggae. Being one of L.A.’s most requested DJ’s, he was the go to person for the Bob Marely Festival for over 6 years and Hollywood’s Jamaica Awareness. Cleve has worked with reggae artists like Lady Saw and Merciless.
Being known as an international DJ, Metro Link Sounds has grown from sea to sea. His life-long passion of playing music to help others escape has brought him to a different platform. Metro Link Radio Show was born in 2016 as way to connect, unite and strengthen communities from the Caribbean Sea to the Atlantic and Pacific Ocean.
